For the record, I do believe Laimbeer to be the front runner, there is too much circumstantial evidence, I guess you could say.

The only major drawback? How well will a  rookie coach be received by NBA free agents? That is a big question for the Pistons. A coach will need to be named before free agent signings are made. Guys won’t come and not know who they are playing for. That being said, expect an announcement soon. Joe already knows who the coach is going to be. He wouldn’t have made the move without knowing. It’s just not his style.
