Hey Dave I am 19 years old and love to fish for Largemouth Bass I live in Central Florida, Right now I use basically live worm and I try rubber worms but never have any luck with them, Last weekend I tried a broken back baby bass lure only thing I caught was a nice size catfish off of it those are fun to catch too but much easier than bass for me…any tips on what I should use for florida lakes and how I should use them?

In Florida lakes it depends on where and what your goal is. If it’s just to catch lots of fish then I can make a few suggestions. I have two articles you can look at that should help but if you give me an idea of which lakes you are fishing at I can give you much more detail. Check these out and get back to me and I’ll get more into details.

Lots of things catch bass, I had an uncle that used to bet people he could catch bass on anything, he’d turn a lighter, beer can, or piece of rubber into a lure and catch fish. It’s more about how and when to use them that matters. To be truly successful you have to understand why you are using a lure.
